Football starts Tuesday August 4th 2009..........See you then!

Monona Grove Eagles Youth Football is a member of the Wisconsin Youth Football League. Participating communities include Sun Prairie, Oregon and McFarland. We are a volunteer staff dedicated to teaching student athletes the fundamentals of football as well as promoting qualities such as self-control, commitment, leadership, teamwork and friendship. We provide a recreational football experience while preparing student athletes for Monona Grove High School Football.

Our practice field is located at Monona Grove High School. Our home games are played at the John Klement Athletic Field at Monona Grove High School. We play a 7 game schedule with 50% of our games played on our opponent's field.

The league requires a mandatory weigh-in on Thursday, August 28th, 2008 at Monona Grove High School. Each student athlete must be present at this weigh-in to participate in the program. Our heavy weight division is over 125 pounds. Players in the heavy weight division over 160 pounds are not allowed to carry the football and are restricted to play at the line of scrimmage. Our light/middle weight division is 130 pounds or under. Players in the light/middle weight division weighing between 125 pounds and 130 pounds can choose to play on the lightweight team and be limited to playing the line or to play on the heavyweight team. Athletes need rubber cleated football shoes, socks and a colored mouth guard. All other equipment will be provided.

Monona Grove Eagles Youth Football is a volunteer organization. 

Parent volunteer positions include the chain gang, working in the press box, being a team parent, fund-raiser team leader or working at our concession stand.
