| Q. |
Does a light weight player have to weigh below 125
(or 130 if playing the line) pounds for the entire season? |
| |
A. |
A player's weight may fluctuate (1 or 2 pounds) and is
subject to review during the course of the playing season. If the weight
gain creates a safety issue and or a competitive advantage, then the player
will either be classified as a "dot" if over 125 to130 pounds or may
be required to move up to Heavy Weight class. We recommend that 8th grade
players in this weight class consider playing in the Heavy Weight
Division. Any disputed weight classification will be resolved by the
Director of MG Eagles Youth Football and or the Directors of the WYFL. We do NOT
encourage players to try and influence their weigh-in weight. |

| Q. |
Is a player guaranteed a certain amount of playing time? |
| |
A. |
Our coaching staff wants all of our student athletes to play in every game. Our philosophy is that student athletes who participate in ALL practices and demonstrate an understanding of their responsibilities on and off the field earn playing time. |
