FAQ
Q. How do I register my child for youth football?
  A. A registration form can be obtained online,  at Cottage Grove School, Winnequah Middle School, Cottage Grove Village Hall, Monona Community Center or by calling Eric Oldenburg @ 772-4717

Q. How much are the registration fees?
  A. The program fee is $100 if paid by June 19, 2010.  In addition all players are encouraged to participate in our Pocket Peeler fund-raiser.

Q. Are there any weight restrictions?
  A. Offensively, any eighth grader who weighs over 150 pounds cannot play in the backfield or at end - he must play in a DOWN LINE position.  Any seventh grader that weighs over 140 pounds must play in a DOWN LINE position.  A DOWN LINE position means in a three point or four point stance (no backs or ends).

Defensively, any eighth grader who weighs over 175 pounds must play in a DOWN LINE position.  Any seventh grader who weighs over 160 pounds must play in a DOWN LINE position.  A DOWN LINE position means in a three point or four point stance.

Q. Is a player guaranteed a certain amount of playing time?
  A. Our coaching staff wants all of our students to play in every game. Our philosophy is that students who participate in ALL practices and demonstrate an understanding of their responsibilities on and off the field earn playing time.
Q. Is there a bus to transport the players to practice from Glacier Drumlin?
  A. No.  Players will need to arrange their own transportation to and from practice. Car pools are encouraged
Q. Is there a bus to transport the players and parents to away games?
  A. . Yes as deemed necessary by the team Coach and Program Director based on travel distance and game time.  We will contract for bus transportation to depart from Glacier Drumlin at 3:45  to the game and return trip to Glacier Drumlin for all players (and parents able to ride the bus).  A $5.00 donation per rider is requested to help offset the cost of the round trip bus fare.  All players will be required to ride the bus and return as a team to participate in the game.   Each team will need a parent(s) volunteer to act as the bus coordinator to collect the $5.00 donation, arrange for the players equipment to be delivered to the bus at Glacier Drumlin, and any other support such as sandwiches and drinks.  We must have a minimum of two parent chaperones on board the bus.
